The Affordable Syllabus Review is a service for WVU instructors who are interested in reducing the cost of course materials by working with a librarian to review their syllabus for affordable, free, and/or openly-licensed alternatives. Participating in this review service can help reduce costs for your students, support you in revising or creating OER, and/or aim to find more diverse course content. We can consult with you to do the following:
- Identify no cost course materials to replace existing texts in your syllabus, such as OER or library licensed materials
- Modify existing OER or create your own OER
- Identify course materials that represent perspectives and content from/about historically marginalized populations and scholars.
