Open Access Textbooks is an open access textbook project created through West Virginia University with the goal of producing cost-effective and high quality products that engage authors, faculty, and students. This project is supported by the Digital Publishing Institute and West Virginia University Libraries and is available in HTML, PDF, and EPub formats.
Digital Publishing Institute
The Digital Publishing Institute (DPI) is an international institute for digitally-oriented research that focuses on publishing open-access (OA) scholarship. The DPI is housed within the West Virginia University (WVU) Libraries and supports faculty, staff, and student production of publishing projects that require digital and media-rich components. As a new institute within WVU Libraries, the DPI is part of an organization experiencing rapid change. Over the next few years, we will be working to establish an innovative hub for scholarly communications within the WVU community that will provide a growing number of hosted research projects and OA journal hosting as well as classes, presentations, workshops, and summer institutes highlighting the publishing capacity of scholars using digital tools and technologies.

It provides long-term preservation and access services for public domain and in copyright content from a variety of sources, including Google, the Internet Archive, Microsoft, and in-house partner institution initiatives.
Digital Public Library of America
Since its launch in 2013, the Digital Public Library of America (DPLA) has developed into a free, open and accessible national digital resource. During this time, DPLA has brought together over sixteen million items from more than 2,300 institutions, expanded its content and service hub network, and led national conversations and initiatives around ebook access.
