Citing Legal Materials in APA

The APA recommends following the Bluebook uniform system of citation for legal materials. Commonly Cited Legal Documents

Court Decisions:

Name v. Name, Volume Source Page (Court Date). URL if available 

Example:

Statutes:

Name of Act, Volume Source § section number (year). URL if available 

Example:

U.S. Constitution:

Start with the abbreviation U.S. Const., followed by the article, amendment, section, and/or clause numbers as applicable.

Examples:
