Click on the Author tab. For known authors you can search by name or ORCID ID. When searching by name the last name is required, you can also enter the first name, initials, and add affiliation to further limit your results. Below I search for Ali Rezai the Executive Chair of the Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute. You can also do a keyword search for authors.
You can also refine your results using the option on the left side of the search page.
After selecting an author (by clicking in the checkbox next to the author name), options will appear in the section above the results. From there you can see:

Scopus Author Profile includes name, affiliation, h-index, number of documents indexed in Scopus, number of co-authors, and number of cited references.
Scopus Author Profiles are meant to be a unique record of a researcher’s publication activity within Scopus. The details come from peer-reviewed articles and other publications that are indexed in Scopus (published in journals, books and other sources). You will not have a Scopus ID until you have a publication indexed in Scopus. Each Scopus Author Profile is automatically generated using an algorithm that extracts metadata directly from documents indexed in Scopus. The Scopus Author Identifier distinguishes among similar names by assigning each author in Scopus a unique number and grouping all of the documents written by that author.
