Electronic Resources Access Guide

Access Policies

Current WVU students, staff, and faculty have full access. 

Emeriti Faculty & Staff have full access.

Alumni who are current members of  the WVU Alumni Association have access to select resources. You can find a complete list here

Retirees who are current members of the WVU Retirees Association have access to select resources. You can find a complete list here.

Friends of the Library card holders may access WVU resources from computer workstations located within one of the WVU Libraries. You can find out more of the Friends of the Library program here.

 

If you believe you belong to an authorized user group but are unable to login, please contact WVU ITS at ITSHelp@mail.wvu.edu to verify your status.

West Virginia University acquires access to various electronic resources through license agreements between a vendor and the West Virginia Board of Governors or the West Virginia Higher Educational Policy Committee on behalf of West Virginia University.

WVU faculty, staff, students, and other authorized users can access many of the Libraries' resources from off-campus. Most databases, eBooks, and eJournals are available from off-campus and require authentication using your WVU Login.
