Black Women Oral History Project Interviews, 1976–1981The project highlights women who had made significant contributions to American society in the first half of the twentieth century. The interviews discuss family background, childhood, education, significant influences affecting their choice of primary career or activity, professional and voluntary accomplishments, the ways in which being black and a woman had affected their options and the choices made.
