eReserves and Reserves

Accessing class materials online

If you have been told that your class materials can be found in eReserves, you can access them by going to Course Reserves and logging in with your WVU username and password.

Once you are logged in, you will see any classes for which the professor has added reserves material. Click on the link in the "Course" column to open up the class and access the materials.

Submitting your ETD

The Library is hosting a free online workshop on how to submit your ETD that will also provide you a chance to ask any questions you may have about the submission proccess.

In this workshop, we will explain the ETD formatting requirements, walk you through the submission process using the Research Repository @ WVU and answer all of your questions about submitting an ETD. Accessing Material Not Owned by the Library

Ordering books, DVDs, and other returnable material

Use ILLiad to order materials. During the COVID-19 pandemic, you can use ILLiad to order all materials - whether WVU owns them or not.

  1. Go to ILLiad and logon using your WVU username and password
  2. At the top of the page, click on "New Requests" and select the type of material you want
  3. Fill out the form completely and submit
    • If WVU owns the material, we will pull it from our shelves
    • If WVU doesn't own the material, we will request it from another library
  4. When the material is ready to be sent to you, we will send you an email asking if you want the materials mailed to you or if you are local
  5. If you want materials mailed to you, you need to respond to that email and let us know what address to use
  6. When you're done with the material, you can return it to us in the Postage Paid envelope and mailer we sent with it.

Ordering articles, book chapters, and other non-returnable materials

Use ILLiad to order materials. During the coronavirous pandemic, you can use ILLiad to order all materials - whether WVU owns them or not.

  1. Go to ILLiad and logon using your WVU username and password
  2. At the top of the page, click on "New Requests" and select the type of material you want
  3. Fill out the form completely and submit
    • If WVU owns the material, we will pull it from our shelves
    • If WVU doesn't own the material, we will request it from another library
  4. When we have gathered the material or received it from another library, we will upload it to your ILLiad account and notify you that the material is ready to be viewed
    • You will have access to these files for 30 days
