Research Commons @ WVU

The WVU Libraries Research Commons is a suite of services that foster interdisciplinary connections and support graduate student and faculty research needs, with an emphasis on graduate students and early-career researchers. It provides services based on library expertise and partnerships with campus connections.

Library Workshops

WVU Libraries offer a wide variety of open workshops designed to assist you in developing your skills in citation management, research strategies, data analysis and management, scholarship and publishing, classroom resources, and discipline/subject-specific resources. These workshops are free and open to registered WVU students, faculty and staff.


Graduate Student Immersion

The Graduate Student Library Immersion Program is a three-day intensive workshop designed to improve participants’ research skills with hands-on activities and demonstrations on a variety of resources, methods, tools and topics. The program focuses on addressing participants' research challenges and building community both within and across disciplines.

These session are held at the prior to the Spring and Fall semesters. Lunch and refreshments are provided along with a $125 stipend upon successful completion.
