This guide provides research resources and access information in support of the West Virginia Innocence Project, which aims to serve and to free people who are in prison for crimes they did not commit and to fix the problems that lead to wrongful convictions in our justice system. Materials covered include books, reports, and manuals on wrongful convictions, interdisciplinary journals on criminal justice and forensics, websites on exonerations and forensic evidence, expert witness resources, criminal justice statistics, documentaries and podcasts on criminal justice, the library catalog and interlibrary loan services, law reviews and general secondary legal sources, legal news and popular news, and dockets.
