Locating authoritative statistics can be useful for seminar research. The following resources provide access to statistics produced by the US federal and state governments, intergovernmental organizations, private organizations, etc.
A statistics portal that integrates data on over 60,000 topics from over 18,000 sources onto a single professional platform - categorized into 21 market sectors, providing direct access to quantitative data on media, business, finance, politics, and a wide variety of other areas of interest or markets.
US Data and Statistics – USA.gov 
USA.gov is the U.S. government's official web portal to all federal, state, and local government web resources and services. The Data and Statistics page on USA.gov provides data about the U.S., such as maps and population, demographic, and economic data.
Data.gov is the home of the U.S. Government’s open data, which provides data, tools, and resources to conduct research, develop web and mobile applications, design data visualizations, and more.
