  • obtain a citation in APA format
  • email these items to yourself

* “Peer-reviewed” means the content was reviewed for accuracy and clarity by experts in the article author's field before being published.

Find a Peer Reviewed Article: Step by Step Instructions

  • Open a web browser
  • Locate and select the WVU Libraries website
  • Locate the library search box
  • Select the Articles tab
  • Place a check in the box next to Peer Reviewed
  • Enter your research topic in the search box
  • Strike the enter or return key, or select the magnifying glass icon
  • View the results
  • Select an article of interest
  • Select cite
  • Use the drop down menu to change the style to APA 7th edition
  • Place the citation on your clipboard (copy)
  • Close the Cite a Record pop-out box
  • Select email (the envelope icon)
  • Paste your citation in the notes field
  • Enter your email in the address box
  • Select Email Record
  • Check your inbox
  • If you don’t see the email you sent, check your junk folder
