The Blue Book is the West Virginia government manual. It contains information on current officials in the executive, legislative and judicial branches of state government; federal officers, including the president, congressional representatives and judges; and, political leaders, including party committee chairs and members.

These organizations can also regulate industries or practices that require close oversight or specialized expertise. Agencies in West Virginia are regulated by the Code of State Rules and justification for and changes to regulations must be submitted to the West Virginia Register.
The CSR is a codification of the regulations that dictate the functions of government bodies.
The West Virginia State Register publishes information about the status of rules moving through the rule-making process, newly filed orders, decisions and opinions and more.
