Community Day at the WVU Libraries

May 15, 2020

WVU Libraries employee Community Day for in-service training

The entire WVU library system closes for a full day

The theme was Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Employees attended keynote sessions in the morning and break-out workshops in the afternoon

During the lunch break, 800 KEVA planks were made available with following instructions

Create a Temporary Sculpture Garden

  • use a portion of planks and or tiles to create your sculpture
  • consider:
    • the needs of other builders
    • working in group (for example, connecting sculptures)
    • the time (lunch break is TIME???) and we'd like to invite everyone for a viewing / walk though at TIME???)
    • taking and sharing photos of your sculpture

Are you part of a group or organization that communicates and delegates successfully? Have you had success using icebreakers and team exercises in the past? If you said yes, please consider adding a description of your group activity to this spread sheet. This information will then be used to help other classes, groups, and organizations create better group connections. It's completely voluntary, so don't worry if you can't add any information.

Thank you for your support!
