Getting Started

Welcome to the Forestry 101 research guide. This guide was created to help you find information pertaining to such areas as sustainable forestry, forest fires and fire ecology, forest management, forest soils, and more.

If you have questions while working on your assignments, I or any of the librarians at the Evansdale Library can work with you to find the right resources and data you need. My contact information is provided to the right.

The guide is divided into several tabs:

Find forestry-related journals and databases for browsing or targeted searching.

Find relevant LC subject headings and recent forestry-related books.

Find relevant streaming videos and DVDs.

Learn about the preferred style guide for your area, as well as tips for avoiding plagiarism.

Learn how to borrow materials that we may not have in our own collection.

Find relevant government documents.
