• JANE (Journal Author Name Estimator)

  Enter the title and abstract of your paper into the search box. JANE uses the data in PubMed to find the 50 articles that are most similar to your input and provides a similarity score for the journals that appear among those articles. To help identify high-quality journals, JANE now tags journals that are currently indexed in MEDLINE, and open access journals approved by the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ).

• Manuscript Match in EndNote Basic

1. Log into EndNote Basic
   • You need to create an EndNote account which is free for WVU faculty, staff and students
2. Click on the Match tab                                         
3. Copy & Paste your title and abstract into the appropriate fields, then click "Find Journals"
4. The results provide you journals names, match scores to show how closely they are aligned with your topic, as well as other useful information about the journal like the impact factor and how the journal ranks among others in the same subject category.
