The Health Sciences Library will reopen to the campus community on August 3rd, followed by the Downtown Campus, Evansdale, Potomac State College, WVU Tech, and Law Libraries on August 10th.
Access to the Downtown, Evansdale, and Health Science Libraries will be available by swipe card access for students, faculty and staff. Please be sure to bring your ID card to enter the building.
Interlibrary loan for articles and nonreturnable material is on-going. Please continue to submit requests through your ILLiad account, as usual.
Interlibrary borrowing and lending for books and other returnable materials will resume on August 3, 2020 so that materials will arrive in time for pickup by the August 10th reopening.
EZ Borrow ordering will be handled by library staff. Please use ILLiad for all requests and indicate in the notes if EZ Borrow is important to you. Locate the book in WorldCat Discovery and then use the "Request ILLiad" button to request a loan. Unfamiliar with ILLiad? Use the menu on the left for more details.
Upon arrival books will be quarantined for 72 hours, making the time from ordering to pick up slightly longer than normal. Please plan accordingly.
HathiTrust ETAS will end when the libraries reopen, beginning August 3, 2020. Books that were available online through the emergency temporary access will once again be available in print from library collections.
There are two ways to return books and DVDs. If you prefer to return the book in person, the Downtown and Evansdale Libraries have book return slots located just outside the entrance doors. If you would rather ship the book back to us, we will send you a prepaid envelope. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to request an envelope.
Email us at email@example.com, and we can renew your books. Make sure to include your full name and WVU ID number in the email. Don't worry about late fees; we are waiving all overdue fines.
Continue to submit requests for chapters, and articles in ILLiad. When the material is received at the Library, we will deliver it electronically (articles). We will mail WVU print books. If you put your mailing address in the Notes field of the request, we can get them to you even faster!
Our librarians are available online to work with you on your research in a way that convenient for you.
