As a Regional Federal Depository Library, the WVU Library receives all Government Documents distributed through the Federal Depository Library program. There are thirteen Selective Depository libraries in West Virginia. These libraries selected only the materials relating to the needs of their communities. The federal depository documents are housed in libraries throughout different campuses according to subject. All documents are classified with Superintendent of Documents number (SuDocs number). Some pre-1976 titles are cataloged under Library of Congress Classification number.
