Edited Book

The general format and example below refers to an edited book.

When a book has been compiled by an editor rather than an individual author, list the editor's name in place of an author, followed by ", editor" in the end reference. 

If there is more than one editor, list them all, up to ten.

General Format

In-Text Citation:
(Editor date)

Reference List:
Editor AA, editor. Year. Title of book. Edition. Place of publication (State or Prov): Publisher name. Number of pages p.

Example

In-Text Citation:
(Story 2005)
 
Reference List:
Story J, editor. 2005. Charlemagne: empire and society. New York (NY): Manchester University Press. 330 p.
