About Citing Web Pages

Elements you must include when citing a web page:

- [Internet] after the title of the page
- Date you are citing the page and date the web page was updated, if known
- The URL at the end of the citation and after the phrase Available from:

Personal Author

The general format and example below refers to a web page with a personal author.

When citing a web page you must include the date it was accessed, and the URL.  If the web page gives a date when it was updated, include that before the cited date.

General Format

In-Text Citation:
(Author date)

Reference List:

Author AA. [Internet]. Date. Title. Place of publication: Publisher; [updated date; cited date]. Available from: URL.

Example

In-Text Citation:
(Mulhauser 2010)
