Multimedia Services Department

The Multimedia Services department, located on the lower level of the Downtown Campus Library, is a space dedicated to helping users with multimedia projects.  In addition to multimedia equipment for designing or creating multimedia projects, the department has a few rooms set aside for media or multimedia use.

  • 4 small viewing rooms
  • 1 classroom viewing room (Room 104) for viewing films and other media.

The small viewing rooms may be reserved by students or faculty for working on a class project.   The rooms hold from 6-8 people and are checked out from the Access Services desk.


Checking out Equipment

  • You need your WVU ID to check out equipment.
  • Equipment checks out for 1 week, with 1 renewal.
  • Fines are $5/day up to $100.

Multimedia Software and Computers

The Multimedia area has 30 iMacs with the following software as well as video capture devices:

  • Adobe Creative Suite, including PhotoShop, inDesign and Illustrator
  • Final Cut Express and Final Cut Pro
  • iLife suite, including iPhoto, iMovie and GarageBand
