From a Database

General Rule:

Author, A. A. (year). Title of doctoral dissertation or master’s thesis (Doctoral dissertation or master’s thesis). Retrieved from Name of database. (Accession or Order No.)

Example:

Davis, P. M. (2010). Access, readership, citations: A randomized controlled trial of scientific journal publishing. (Doctoral dissertation). Retrieved from ProQuest Dissertations and Theses. (Order No. 3429815)

From the Web

General Rule:

Example:
