APA Citation Style Guide

A quick guide to using APA citation style

0 Authors

If a reference does not list an author, use the article title in the author position

Example:

2-7 Authors

If a reference has between 2 and 7 authors, list each name in the order it appears on the source.

Example:

8 or More Authors

If a reference has 8 or more authors, list the first 6 names followed by an ellipses and the final name listed.

Example:

Marcolino-Gomes, J., Rodrigues, F., Fuganti-Pagliarini, R., Bendix, C., Nakayama, T., Celaya, B., & ... Nepomuceno, A. (2014). Diurnal oscillations of soybean circadian clock and drought responsive genes. Plos ONE, 9(1), 1-13. doi:10.1371/journal.pone.0086402

Group Author

If a reference was authored by a company, organization, or other group, use the group’s formal name.

Example:
