This guide will provide students with resources useful for completing the laboratory assignment.

Secondary Sources

Secondary sources derive from primary sources by analyzing, reviewing, commenting, or otherwise using content from primary sources.  Secondary sources include:

  • Most books
  • Magazines and newspaper articles
  • Review articles (go to that tab)
  • Most web sites

Visiting from Off-Campus?

From off-campus locations, you will be prompted to enter a username and password when you select a resource.

  • Username =  WVU username (usually the same as the MIX username).  
  • Password = WVU password

Secondary Sources: Books

Locate books, electronic books, media, and much more using the search box on the Libraries home page and the Books tab.  Locate the call number for the books you find using the Stacks Location Chart.  The majority of science books in the Downtown Library are on the 6th floor.
